Portraits of Ghosts
In many corners of the Internet I’m known as “portraitsofghosts,” a content creator who became somewhat well known for making eerie drawings while telling equally eerie tales. Through strange investigations I became a researcher and interviewer of what are colloquially known as “secret societies.” In my art, I start from a pretty simple premise: that life is a lot like a circus blowing into a small town, here and gone very fast, a bit scary, a bit happy and a lot confusing and vibrant. I try to bring that scary and bright vibe into a lot of what I make. I’ve been making art for around 25 years and in 2017 I graduated with my MA from Savannah College of Art and Design. I have been teaching college and independent courses ever since. Independent courses allow me to do the weird things I enjoy most, such as my favorite creation: Crossstitch and Crime, in which students learn to cross stitch a spooky image while enjoying a true crime podcast. I also work as an independent artist available to commission for portraits, design and illustration.
